What is copper flat bar

Copper flat bar is a kind of large current conductive product, which is suitable for high and low voltage electrical appliances, switch contacts, power distribution equipment, bus duct and other electrical engineering, and is also widely used in metal smelting, electrochemical electroplating, chemical caustic soda and other super current electrolytic smelting projects. Electrical copper bar has the advantages of low resistivity and large bending.

Copper flat bar, also known as copper bus bar, copper bus bar or copper bus bar, grounding copper bar, is a long conductor made of copper with rectangular or chamfered (rounded) rectangular section, and aluminum bar is made of aluminum material, which plays the role of transmitting current and connecting electrical equipment in the circuit. The quality requirements of copper busbar shall comply with the GB/T 5585.1-2005 standard.

application

As the conductivity of copper is superior to that of aluminum, copper bars are widely used in electrical equipment, especially in complete power distribution devices; Generally, the A, B, C, N-phase bus bars and PE bus bars in the power distribution cabinet are copper bars; Copper bars are generally marked with phase color letters or painted with phase color paint. Phase A copper bars are marked with "yellow" color, phase B with "green" color, phase C with "red" color, phase N with "light blue" color, and PE bus with "yellow green" color.

Copper flat bars are mainly used for primary lines (copper bars are used for high current phase lines, zero lines, and ground wires). Copper flat bars are used for the connection of primary components with high current on electrical cabinets. For example, a row of electrical cabinets is connected to the main bus bar between cabinets, and the main bus bar is distributed to the switch electrical (disconnector, circuit breaker, etc.) of each electrical cabinet. Copper bars can be tinned or bare, and the connection of copper bars in the electric cabinet shall be tinned, embossed or coated with conductive paste. There are heat shrinkable sleeves at the spare places for protection, and some are painted with insulating paint. The current carrying capacity is the main consideration when using copper bars. Select appropriate copper bars according to the current size. The screws at the connection must be tightened, or the copper bars may be melted when the current is high.
